At APPS Grab Hire, environmental concerns are central to our philosophy. Changes to industry legislation mean the waste industry is more regulated than ever, and recycling is something we are passionate about. We take our role in protecting the environment and reducing your carbon footprint very seriously.
How we recycle your waste
The vast majority of the general waste we collect is recycled locally through an advanced filtering system, so most of it does not end up at landfill or an incinerator. We process tonnes of waste every day, sorting it to recover as much stone, soil, concrete and brick as possible.
Recycled materials back into use
Recovered material goes back into the construction industry as recycled screened topsoil and recycled aggregates such as crushed concrete. Choosing recycled materials for your sub-base or landscaping is a simple way to reduce your project’s carbon footprint.
Lower carbon waste removal
Each of our grab lorries holds around two and a half times as much as a large skip, so fewer journeys are needed to clear the same amount of waste. That means fewer vehicle movements, less fuel and less disruption on your street.

What you can do to help
Keeping different types of waste separate on site makes recycling easier and more effective. Where possible, keep soil, hardcore and green waste in separate heaps, and tell us about any other materials when you book so we can plan the right collection.
