Muck away specialists since 2004
We have many years of experience in the muck away industry. We work for construction sites, groundworks companies, utility companies and local authorities, as well as homeowners and small builders. With our own fleet and experienced drivers, we are well equipped to provide a quality waste disposal service whatever your requirements.
Grab muck away or tipper muck away?
There are two ways we can take away your muck:
- Grab lorry muck away: the lorry loads itself with its grab arm. Ideal when the spoil is already in a heap and there is no machine on site.
- Tipper muck away: your excavator loads our tipper lorry directly as you dig. Ideal for continuous excavation on larger jobs.
Not sure which you need? Tell us about the job and we will recommend the most cost-effective option.
Why use our muck away service?
Our grab trucks are ideal for bulk waste removal and far quicker than loading a skip. Our large grab lorries make quick work of your mountain of waste in one visit. You save money in the long run and reduce your carbon footprint, with as much of the material as possible sorted and recycled.
We also offer reinstatement works, backfill and quality aggregate delivery, which can be tipped or grabbed on site. That means one call for the muck going out and the Type 1 or topsoil coming back in.

FAQs
Muck Away FAQs
What is muck away?
Muck away is the removal of excavated soil, clay, rubble and other inert waste from a site, usually by grab lorry or tipper lorry rather than skips.
Can you do several loads in one day?
Yes. For larger excavations we can run repeat loads to keep your site clear. Call us to plan the collections around your digging.
Do you need machinery on site?
Not for grab muck away: the grab arm loads the lorry itself. For tipper muck away, your excavator loads our lorry directly.
What waste can you not take?
Tell us what is in the waste when you book. Some materials have to be kept separate or handled differently, and we will advise you before we arrive.
Do you recycle the muck you collect?
Yes. We aim to recycle at least 75% of the waste we clear, turning soil, stone, concrete and brick into recycled aggregates and screened topsoil.
Can you deliver materials after the muck away?
Yes. We supply Type 1, crushed concrete, road planings and screened topsoil, so we can bring materials back once the spoil has gone.
