Type 1 Aggregates

Type 1 aggregates are made from pure crushed concrete. Sizes of the grains range from dust, to 40mm, for easy compacting. MOT Type 1 is also known as DOT Type 1 and is the most widely used aggregate in the construction industry. All aggregates classified as 'Type 1' quality must comply with clause 803 (SHW 803), as stated in the Department of Transport Specification for Highway Works.
